On the weekend of Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th July 2015 the D9650 NYSF Committee gathered in Walcha to select 17 students to go to NYSF in Canberra. We interviewed 33 applicants supported by 19 Rotary Clubs.

All applicants were of a high standard which made the selection process a difficult task.

The students were interviewed by 3 panels of Rotarians and community members of varying backgrounds.

These panels assessed the students in different areas such as

The Rotary Foundation is our charity of choice. The mission of the Rotary Foundation is to do good in the world.
It is once again time for Clubs in District 9650 to consider the projects that they are participating in at the local, national and International levels and to consider making an application to the Rotary Foundation for a District grant before the closing date in mid-October 2015.

DG Report for July 2015

De and I have commenced our club visits and have been to Armidale and Inverell. We also have the opportunity of meeting with each of the club presidents and separately with their boards. The range of activities proposed by the clubs over the next 12 months is impressive. Each of these clubs have now logged goals on Rotary Central on the Rotary International website.
