NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT 9650 INC
Notice is hereby given that the annual general meeting of Rotary International District 9650 Inc will be held in the Town Hall, Inverell, NSW, 2360, at 2.30pm on Friday, March 9, 2012.
CALL FOR RESOLUTIONS
In accordance with article 5.02.1 of the rules of Rotary International District 9650 Inc, notice is hereby given that any proposed resolution or matter for consideration at the district conference business session/annual general meeting must be received by the district governor in writing not less than 45 days before the date of the district conference.
Accordingly, any such proposed resolution or matter for consideration by the meeting should be first considered by such clubs that wish to make a submission, be signed by the president and secretary, and then forwarded to the district secretary to reach the district governor by midnight on Friday, January 20, 2012.
Clubs are requested to ensure that members attending the district conference are aware of the provisions of articles 2.04.6 and 2.04.7 of the code of policies of Rotary International District 9650 Inc relating to conference voting and resolutions.
NOMINATION OF ELECTORS
The by-laws of Rotary International require that each club in the district shall select, certify and send to the annual district conference one elector for every 25, or major fraction thereof, of its members. This means that clubs with up to 37 members as at January 1, 20123, have one elector; clubs with 38 to 62 members have two electors; clubs with 63 or more members have three electors.
Clubs are requested to ensure that members attending the district conference are aware of the provisions of article 15,050 of the by-laws of Rotary International and that the district secretary is advised in writing by February 29 of the name(s) of the certified elector(s).
