The district Rotary Foundation Director is responsible for assisting the governor in educating, motivating and inspiring Rotarians to participate in Foundation programs and fundraising activities; liaising between The Rotary Foundation (TRF) and Rotarians in the district; and allocating and distributing District Designated Funds (DDF).

ROTARY FOUNDATION COMMITTEE

The committee is responsible for the promotion of The Rotary Foundation (TRF), its awards and programs, the dissemination of relevant information of TRF and its programs, and the promotion of TRF as a worthy recipient of funds from Rotarians, Rotary clubs and others through Paul Harris Fellow Recognition and sustaining memberships, planned giving, benefactors, etc. It is also responsible for liaison between TRF and Rotarians in the district.

ALUMNI

This sub-committee maintains an accurate and updated district database or directory of alumni; fosters alumni involvement at club and district level; conducts reunions.

ANNUAL GIVING AND PERMANENT FUND

The Annual Giving sub-committee plans and promotes regular contributions to the Rotary Foundation's annual programs fund. Gifts to the Annual Programs fund count toward Paul Harris Fellow Recognitions, Multiple Paul Harris Fellow Recognitions and Rotary Foundation Sustaining Member Recognition. Assistant Governors are responsible for coordinating Rotary Foundation Day in their Cluster.

The Permanent Fund sub-committee promotes support for the Permanent fund. Benefactor contribution, Bequest society members and major gifts of property, cash or investments fund the Permanent fund which is coordinated by the chairman and Assistant Governors who are responsible for coordinating Rotary Foundation Day in their Cluster.

CENTURION MEMBERSHIP

A Centurion member contributes $Aus100 to the Foundation annually, receives a certificate of recognition and a distinctive lapel pin. The contribution can be used for a Paul Harris Fellow recognition, the recipient determined by the centurion.

This sub-committee reviews and certifies all grant applications prior to submission to The Rotary Foundation; assists clubs with applications for grants; ensures full utilization of district designated funds (DDF) allocated to humanitarian programs; maintains accurate records of DDF allocations and grant approvals and assists with the allocation and distribution of DDF.

EVERY ROTARIAN EVERY YEAR

The overall aim is to raise US$100 per member per year through fundraising or donations by Rotarians. This encompasses Centurion membership, Paul Harris Society, Major donors and benefactors.

GROUP STUDY EXCHANGE (GSE)

The committee seeks a Rotary leader and suitably qualified applicants from young professional and business non-Rotarians to participate in an international, educational, vocational and cultural exchange. The committee selects and trains district teams to participate in the program, as well as organising an interesting, educational and enjoyable itinerary for the incoming exchange team.

POLIO ERADICATION CAMPAIGN

This sub-committee promotes continued support for Rotary's international program to eradicate polio in the four endemic countries and to respond to outbreaks in other polio free countries through continued donations which also attract Paul Harris Fellow recognition.

SCHOLARSHIPS

This sub-committee is responsible for promoting club and district participation in the ambassadorial scholarship and Rotary centres for international studies in peace and conflict resolution programs. The sub-committee focuses on four basic elements of each program: promotion and selection, orientation, hosting scholars, and alumni outreach.

ASSISTANT REGIONAL ROTARY FOUNDATION CHAIRMAN

As Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Chairman for Districts 9640,9650, and 9670 PDG Rick Bowen-Thomas is responsible for reporting to and assisting the Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator as a link between the Rotary Foundation and the respective District leaders regarding all aspects of the Rotary Foundation and supporting their efforts in educating, motivating, training, and promoting stewardship, running regional seminars, and being a Regional level Foundation resource for all Rotary Foundation programs.
