“Helping
those in isolation who are in need of short term assistance”
Outback Links is a
program designed to allow people to volunteers some of their time to
help property owners in the outback who are in need of help.
This could include
domestic duties, small farming duties, helping children with school
work, but most importantly, just being a good listener.
Each tour of duty on
any one property should be no longer than two to four weeks.
Australia has one of the highest rural suicide rates in the world.
Rotary International District 9650 is proud to be able to assist with
this program. You can help by registering on-line now. What a way to
see the Outback and help your fellow Australians at the same time.
After many years of drought, our isolated property owners are now
experiencing devastating floods.
