Safe Water Saves Lives

The aims of SWSL are: to install infrastructure to supply clear water
to people of an overseas community by a planned system of water catchment, storage and reticulation; to benefit the community by
education and training in water systems, tank construction and related
health programs; to encourage the community to provide funds,
materials and labour to maintain and protect the system.
Responsibilities:
To carry out surveys of potential projects to determine their
feasibility, cost, resources required and effectiveness.
To submit proposals to FAIM coordinator for Eastern Region processing.
To raise awareness of SWSL in Clubs throughout the District
To raise finance for the projects that have been authorised
To assist D9650 Clubs and members to undertake SWSL projects. This
will be in conjunction with the FAIM and Project coordinators.
Advise DIK of requirements for materials and equipment.
To work with RAWCS Chairman on Rotary Foundation matching and other
grant applications.
To prepare promotional material as required.
To report to the District RAWCS Committee.
